The university is rooted in Europe’s distance-learning initiatives and was established on 15 April 2005 by decree of the Italian Ministry of Education.

Today it educates students from more than 160 countries through a multilingual, interactive digital campus.

The most critical matter in distance education is the legality of the diploma. Italian University provides full assurance.

Italian State Recognition

Established by official decree of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MUR / MIUR) in 2005. Course content and exam standards are under the same oversight as Italian state universities.

Bologna Process & ECTS

All programs comply with the Bologna Process. Credits are calculated via the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS); diplomas are recognized in the EU, the US and other countries.

YÖK Recognition (Türkiye)

As an official, recognized university in Italy, Italian University is on Türkiye’s YÖK recognition list. Equivalency applications can be filed after graduation (YÖK’s current regulations and exam conditions apply to online study).
